Taste of Holbox has partnered with Omar, a jeweler based in Isla Mujeres, to create an exclusive jewelry collection made with metals sourced in Mexico. Pieces are available in silver, brass, and copper.

Omar's jewelry company began in 2017 as a father-son project on Holbox's neighboring island of Isla Mujeres. Originally from Taxco, a town known for its silverwork, Omar brings his background in traditional craftsmanship together with inspiration from Isla Mujeres, Isla Holbox, and Isla Contoy. The region’s natural surroundings, including the annual whale shark migration, influence much of his work.

Omar sees Isla Holbox as a place worth carrying with you. Its slow pace, coastal simplicity, and strong sense of community continue to shape his designs. His aim is to offer something lasting for those who feel a connection to the island.

Each piece is designed by Omar and handmade using family methods passed down through generations. His .925 silver jewelry is especially well known and includes a lifetime warranty.
