DOWNTOWN ISLA HOLBOX

Convenience in Holbox's Town Center...

The town center is located around the main square with accommodations spread along the nearby streets and the route between town and the ferry terminal. This area is central to Isla Holbox, offering a variety of accommodations, including boutique hotels, casual guesthouses, locally run hotels, and budget-friendly hostels. It’s convenient for those wanting to be near restaurants, bars, shops, and the island’s main square, with the beach and ferry terminal within walking distance. You’ll also find local food stalls and live music venues nearby.

 

Accommodations range from basic rooms with shared amenities to mid-range hotels with rooftop pools and air conditioning. Affordable guesthouses, hostels, and locally run hotels are available, making it a great option for budget travelers or longer stays. There are even camping areas, and places offering bike rentals, kitchens, and a neighborhood vibe.

HOTEL ZONE

Tranquility and luxury in Holbox's beachfront Hotel Zone...

East of town, the Hotel Zone stretches toward Punta Mosquito, offering a serene and upscale atmosphere. Accommodations here are often eco-conscious and designed to blend with the natural surroundings.

 

This area is known for its luxury boutique hotels, eco-luxury resorts, and beachfront suites with hammocks, thatched roofs, and open-air lounges. Many properties feature ocean views, on-site dining, and beach clubs, providing an exclusive and tranquil setting. The stretch of beach is perfect for relaxation, with calm, shallow waters and stunning sunsets.

PUNTA COCOS

Privacy and nature in Punta Cocos...

On the western side of Isla Holbox, Punta Cocos is a quiet, more remote area known for its natural beauty and sense of seclusion. Accommodations range from beachfront eco-lodges to rustic-style cabins set slightly inland, offering a laid-back, nature-focused stay.

 

Dining options are limited, but the setting makes up for it, especially at night, when the shoreline becomes one of the island’s best places to see bioluminescence.
